Medical Research Extraction Scheme (MRES)

IQVIA has set up a patient data collection and research scheme called the Medical Research Extraction Scheme (MRES). The scheme collects non-identified coded patient electronic health record (EHR) data directly from GP practices across the UK for research purposes. In the UK, IQVIA has collected and supported the research use of non-identified patient data for over 25 years. Many GP practices are already participating in MRES and contributing non-identified patient data to IQVIA Medical Research Data (IMRD), an NHS Health Research Authority (HRA) approved research database. Research using IMRD contributes to existing knowledge and generates insights for improving the provision of health or social care, or the promotion of health.
