SEARCH JOBSEl pasado 15 de diciembre, se han dado a conocer los nombres de los hospitales que han conseguido premios TOP20 otorgados cada año por IQVIA Healthcare.
Debido a la situación tan extraordinaria que vivimos, la 21ª edición de los premios TOP 20 se celebró en formato virtual a través de un palacio de congresos en el que se anunciaron los 38 hospitales premiados procedentes de 7 comunidades autónomas: Andalucía, Cataluña, Islas Canarias, Islas Baleares, La Rioja, Madrid y Valencia.
26 centros han sido premiados por su gestión hospitalaria global. Además, se han repartido 32 premios TOP en las siguientes áreas clínicas analizadas: Corazón, Respiratorio, Sistema Nervioso, Digestivo, Musculoesquelético, Riñón y Vías Urinarias y Mujer.
Este año, participaron de forma voluntaria 151 hospitales, procedentes de 14 comunidades autónomas y, en 10 de ellas, hubo centros nominados: Andalucía, Aragón, Castilla y León, Cataluña, Islas Baleares, Islas Canarias, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia y Valencia.
Durante la ceremonia, Carles Illa, Director de IQVIA Healthcare, introdujo el TOP Value, un enfoque que va más allá de la tradicional visión de la evaluación hospitalaria basado en la adecuación del valor y las prácticas clínicas, y que actualmente, cuenta con la presencia de 25 hospitales participantes. La conferencia del TOP Value tendrá lugar en marzo de 2021.
La Dra. María Soler ha presentado un análisis y la construcción de un índice sintético sobre el impacto que la COVID-19 ha tenido en los hospitales españoles. Además, Soler ha analizado la disminución muy significativa de la actividad asistencial (medida a través de altas hospitalarias). Esta disminución se ha observado tanto en la actividad quirúrgica programada como en la actividad urgente médica no COVID. También, se ha detectado una afectación importante en el volumen de episodios urgentes de patologías como la insuficiencia cardíaca, los infartos agudos de miocardio o el ictus.
