Hospitales nominados a los Premios TOP20 - 2019

TOP 20 2019 - EDICIÓN 20 ANIVERSARIO

De los 145 centros que han participado en esta nueva edición de Hospitales TOP 20, 69 Hospitales y Clínicas acumulan 124 nominaciones por lo que se han situado entre los finalistas y optan a conseguir alguno de los 63 galardones que se entregarán el martes 17 de diciembre de 2019 por la mañana, durante la Conferencia Hospitales Top20 que tendrá lugar en el Hotel NH Collection Eurobuilding de Madrid, en un acto al que asistirán las autoridades sanitarias de las Comunidades Autónomas premiadas.

De los 69 hospitales nominados un 55,8% (38) está nominado en una única categoría, un 29,4% (20) opta a dos premios y un 17,2% (11) puede ganar tres o más TOP.

No todos los centros nominados en la edición de este año acabarán siendo TOP, pero IASIST quiere destacar que todos estos hospitales figuran entre los mejores de su grupo y que, por este motivo, merecen un reconocimiento por su buena gestión.

LA EVALUACIÓN DE LOS RESULTADOS

El principal objetivo del Programa Hospitales TOP 20 es identificar los patrones de buena práctica (benchmarks) y reconocer la labor de aquellos centros que han obtenido mejores resultados en el proceso de evaluación. Las bases fundacionales del Programa Hospitales TOP 20 siguen siendo una participación voluntaria, anónima, gratuita y basada exclusivamente en datos objetivos de los hospitales presentados.

En esta edición, seguimos evaluando procesos específicos en las áreas clínicas más relevantes, valorando 35 procesos clínicos frecuentes que engloban un total de 7 áreas clínicas.

Los 35 procesos se enmarcan en las áreas clínicas por las que recibirán galardones los hospitales con mejores resultados, en base a resultados en indicadores de adecuación y calidad. Incluyen:

  • Corazón
  • Respiratorio
  • Sistema Nervioso
  • Digestivo
  • Musculo esquelético
  • Riñón y vías urinarias
  • Mujer

Además, se conceden galardones a los centros que destacan por el tratamiento de los pacientes críticos que han requerido ingreso en Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos.

En esta edición del Programa Hospitales TOP 20 se presentará un análisis de la hospitalización a domicilio, realizado con hospitales que disponían de la información codificada en su CMBD.

Los 36 galardones por áreas clínicas se complementan con 26 premios globales a los hospitales con el mejor equilibrio de resultados en toda su actividad, introduciendo indicadores de eficiencia junto a los de calidad y adecuación.

En el proceso de comparación de los centros, los hospitales no se evalúan conjuntamente, sino estableciendo niveles según su tamaño y su grado de especialización. En el TOP de Gestión Hospitalaria Global, los hospitales públicos se clasifican en 4 grupos y los hospitales privados se clasifican en 3. En las Áreas Clínicas también se establecen diferentes niveles de clasificación de los centros según la cartera de servicios y complejidad.

Los 145 hospitales participantes (70,3% del Sistema Nacional de Salud y 29,7% privados) proceden de 14 Comunidades Autónomas distintas y 11 de estas Comunidades tienen centros nominados: Andalucía, Asturias, Baleares, Canarias, Castilla León, Cataluña, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia, País Vasco y Valencia
