Learn moreThe Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), represented by its innovative arm, the Center for Artificial Intelligence and IQVIA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) exploring opportunities of mutual interest to advance innovation in the field of healthcare data in the Kingdom. His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf al-Ghamdi, President of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, and IQVIA EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) President Alistair Grenfell and Senior Vice President and AMESA (Africa, Middle East, and South Asia) General Manager Amit Sadana attended the signing ceremony.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Majid Al-Tuwaijri, who oversees the work of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence at SDAIA and by Mohammed Mustafa Al-Badawi, General Manager of KSA and Egypt at IQVIA.
The agreement aims to strengthen the cooperation between the two parties to develop common ideas and research in the field of data and artificial intelligence. It also aims to build a center for innovation and knowledge to exchange shared experiences and develop training programs to activate the use of data and AI within the healthcare system and its organizations. Dr. Majid Al-Tuwaijri, who supervises the work of the National Center for AI, said, “This agreement will contribute to creating opportunities for development and growth in the healthcare field, through the development of innovative solutions in the field of data and artificial intelligence, and the exchange of shared experiences and investment opportunities in this vital area to support the achievement of the goals of Vision 2030.”
“We are thrilled to be supporting SDAIA in their endeavor to strengthen Saudi health sector through adoption of global data best practices and artificial intelligence technologies” said Amit Sadana, Senior Vice President & General Manager for IQVIA in Africa, Middle East & South Asia (AMESA). “We will be working very closely with them in bringing about a digital health transformation in Saudi Arabia.” The National Center for Artificial Intelligence seeks to provide the latest technical services and digital solutions to government agencies in the Kingdom, to enhance the efficiency and safety of government digital assets in accordance with the best international standards. The center works to promote various sectors in the Kingdom, being the first provider of visions and analysis based on artificial intelligence technologies because it is one of the three arms of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
