Insights The IQVIA Institute Events and Webinars Call for submissions: 2025 IQVIA Institute Research Forum

The 2025 IQVIA Institute Research Forum – in collaboration with Boston University Questrom School of Business and Boston University School of Public Health – invites researchers to submit abstracts to be included in this year’s forum. Applicants are encouraged to focus on areas related to the main theme of the 2024 IQVIA Institute Research Forum: Large Datasets in High-Impact Health Research: Applying Innovative Methodologies and Infrastructural Approaches.

Key themes for the 2025 Forum:

  • Advancing Access to Data: Improving access to data through funding, sharing resources and collaboration across research teams, institutions, states and countries
  • Linking Large Datasets: Linking and integrating diverse data and large datasets in research and building innovative federal, state and institutional infrastructures for common data collection
  • Using AI and New Methodologies: Advancing the use of AI and other innovative methodologies, new data and approaches to high-impact health research encompassing large datasets

For inclusion consideration, we ask that you submit a research abstract, which may include up to 500 words and should include the following:

  • Name
  • Contact email
  • Title
  • Theme selection
  • Background and objective
  • Methods or approach
  • Principal findings
  • Thoughts about future research opportunities when using large datasets
  • Lessons learned about the opportunities and challenges using large datasets in high-impact health research when applying innovative methodologies and infrastructural approaches

In addition, please include the following in your submission. This information is not included in the 500 word limit.

  • Relevance to the 2025 IQVIA Institute Research Forum, including whether IQVIA or other datasets are used
  • A short bio highlighting your title, position, and expertise

Please submit all content using this form.

The deadline for submissions is midnight EDT on Wednesday, April 30.

Submissions will be reviewed by a five-member committee representing the IQVIA Institute and partners at Boston University. We plan to issue notifications at the end of May or in early June.

The IQVIA Institute for Human Data Science annually hosts the IQVIA Institute Research Forum, which brings together researchers based in academia and other public or private institutions to exchange perspectives and experiences in advancing the collective understanding of critical healthcare-related issues through evidence-based research. The 2025 IQVIA Institute Research Forum - Large Datasets in High-Impact Health Research: Applying Innovative Methodologies and Infrastructural Approaches – will be held September 18-19 in Boston in collaboration with Boston University Questrom School of Business and Boston University School of Public Health.
