IQVIA One Home for Sites™ (One Home) is bringing the industry together to solve the technology proliferation issue that overburdens sites and slows down study timelines.
What Is The Challenge?
Sites report juggling dozens of applications and logins for each clinical trial, which adds significantly to their workload and limits their capacity to adopt new trials. The current shortage of sites and participants, along with high staff turnover rates, makes the issue extremely urgent. Sites need an industry-wide single sign-on experience that brings the key systems and applications sites utilize across their trials under one roof.
How Does One Home For Sites Help?
As a neutral aggregator, One Home provides single sign-on (SSO) to all participating technology partners. A dashboard for prioritized task lists with relevant links streamlines site staff’s day-to-day operations. One Home does not replace the functionality of preferred vendors but provides greater access to the leading-edge technologies that make advanced clinical research possible.
When site users spend less time managing technology, they have more time to take on new clinical trials. Additionally, consolidating access to various systems and applications into one platform gives sites more time for patient care. Sponsors, CROs, tech vendors, and sites are all invited to participate in building One Home to ensure that it has the precise features sites need to revolutionize clinical trial tech management.
One Home for Sites is not just for IQVIA CRO studies. Any trial that a site needs to run can take advantage of the One Home platform.
How Can Sponsors, CROs, And Tech Vendors Be Part Of The Solution?
The One Home For Sites Partner Program encourages sponsors, CROs, and tech vendors to become part of the solution and contribute to its growth . The initiative addresses key challenges around site burden and technology fragmentation, while providing cross-industry collaboration and growth opportunities for partners within IQVIA Technologies open ecosystem platform.
By participating in the partner program, CROs and tech vendors can bring their site-facing applications into the SSO System Library under the One Home platform. This not only helps build the clinical trial ecosystem and drive industry-wide collaboration but also enhances the visibility and adoption of their software solutions among sites. The program accelerates growth opportunities for partners by addressing the technology burden facing sites. Moreover, it allows sponsors to distinguish themselves as site advocates by reducing administrative burdens and providing a better site experience.
How Can Clinical Technology Providers Join One Home?
Joining One Home is a straightforward process that involves connecting product teams and SSO experts with IQVIA Technologies’ team. Typically, the setup takes only a few days. Once the “technology handshake” is complete, product teams can discuss deeper plans to incorporate your system and study-focused details. The end goal is to surface tasks and notifications in the site user’s One Home dashboard so they do not end up in a wasteland of unread emails.
Within six months of the partnership program becoming available, six technology vendors have brought their products into the One Home SSO System Library and are live in production. Dozens more are in the pipeline to fully modernize the site experience.
How Can Sites Contribute?
More than 150 site users are part of the advisory board and have been guiding product development to ensure the experience is exactly what sites want it to be. IQVIA Technologies is eager to understand the unique challenges that site users face and employs various methods such as interviews, panels, usability testing, and surveys to gather this information. Whether your site has one year or thirty years of experience, is large, small, academic, or part of a network, IQVIA values your input. One Home’s objective is to enhance site users’ clinical trial experiences, and your feedback is instrumental in achieving that goal.
Do Sites Need To Wait For Sponsors To Deliver One Home To Their Studies?
The latest release of One Home has made self-registration and self-administration capabilities available for sites. Site users can add the studies, systems, and tasks they are working on, even if the sponsor of those studies or its designated CRO has not yet adopted One Home.
