Hospitales TOP 20

Con más de 25 años de historia, Hospitales TOP 20 es el programa de referencia del entorno sanitario español. Desde que empezó, en el año 2000, ha contado con la participación de más de 250 hospitales (públicos y privados) que han obtenido, solo por participar, un benchmark útil para la mejora de resultados basado en indicadores de calidad, funcionamiento y eficiencia.

A partir del año 2009, y coincidiendo con el décimo aniversario del TOP 20, actualizamos el sistema de evaluación dándole mayor amplitud y ofreciendo más información a los participantes, con el análisis sistemático de la gestión hospitalaria global y de 6 áreas clínicas.

En el año 2015, se vuelve a actualizar el sistema de evaluación: la valoración sigue siendo global, pero se alimenta del balance de resultados de los procesos más frecuentes, incrementando así el valor asistencial. Se analizan, para ello, 30 procesos clínicos que contienen más de 120 indicadores en 8 áreas clínicas (Nervioso, Respiratorio, Corazón, Digestivo, Musculoesquelético, Riñón y vías urinarias, Mujer, Atención al paciente crítico). Con este nuevo enfoque, ofrecemos más información a los participantes sobre los resultados alcanzados y su variabilidad.

En el año 2024, con motivo del vigésimo quinto aniversario del TOP 20, incorporamos dos nuevos bloques de análisis: Urgencias y Costes. El primero venía siendo una petición recurrente, pues el Servicio de Urgencias tiene un volumen de trabajo solo superado por el de Atención Primaria. Además, su actividad no es programable y se concentra con mayor intensidad en determinadas franjas horarias, por lo que es de vital importancia optimizar procesos y recursos. El módulo de Costes, por su parte, permite a los hospitales comparar sus costes observados con los esperados, identificando aquellas partidas que suponen un sobrecoste y que se deben accionar.


Conferencia Hospitales TOP 20

El programa culmina cada año con una conferencia que reconoce a los hospitales con mejores resultados en cada una de las áreas analizadas y a nivel agregado.

El año pasado la temática de la conferencia fue: 25 años transformando juntos la sanidad. Durante la misma, pudimos disfrutar de los testimonios de varios perfiles del sector, incluyendo líderes clínicos, gestores, residentes y científicos. Pincha aquí para ver el vídeo resumen.

El programa es totalmente gratuito y anónimo. Todos los participantes reciben un perfil comparativo con sus resultados en las diferentes áreas clínicas y procesos analizados.
