SEARCH JOBSOur colleagues from IQVIA Russia & CIS took part in the work of the international student on-line school, “Features of registration policy and development of medicines in Russian Federation, the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the European Union (EU)," which was launched in Sechenov University in October 2020. This is an extensive educational project for senior students of foreign medical and pharmaceutical universities.
During four academic hours, Nickolai Demidov, General Manager, IQVIA Russia & CIS, and Alexey Savin, Senior Principal, IQVIA Consulting East Europe, talked about the main trends and factors in the development of the pharmaceutical market in Russia, the EAEU countries and the EU. Students learned about the main market players and the specifics of procurement in the state segment. Discussion topics included information on leading companies, the latest digital trends and changes in the structure of consumption, especially in considering of events like Covid-19.
About 1,400 students from different countries (Belarus, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Hungary, Germany, Greece, India, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, USA, France, Croatia, and Japan) attended the IQVIA lectures. Students from China accounted for more than half of the audience.
This success and interest in the event can be explained by the fact that students of foreign universities receiving a pharmaceutical education understand that market knowledge can be a competitive advantage for them in employment. Events like this are a good start for these students. We congratulate all the attendees and wish them success as they develop their competencies in this industry.
